Getting There
Uber is the best way to get around
RecommendedUber is quick, affordable and widely available in Cape Town and Stellenbosch. Use it from the airport (30 - 40 minutes), to reach the venue each day, and to get to dinners and evening events.
- Book only through the official Uber app.
- At the airport, ignore anyone in arrivals who offers you a "taxi". Follow the app's directions to the Uber pickup point.
- Before you get in, check that the number plate and driver match the app.
By Air
Cape Town International Airport (CPT) is the nearest major airport, approximately 30 - 40 minutes by car. OR Tambo (JNB) in Johannesburg has more international connections with connecting flights to Cape Town.
By Car
From Cape Town: take the N2 highway then R44 to Stellenbosch (approx. 50 km). Rental cars are available at the airport. Ample parking at the venue.

By Train
Stellenbosch has a MetroRail station with connections to Cape Town. However, we recommend Uber for convenience and safety.
Visa Information
South Africa requires visas from citizens of certain countries. We strongly recommend checking the visa requirements for your nationality well in advance and applying at least 8 weeks before the conference.
We can provide official invitation letters for visa applications upon request. To request a letter, please complete your conference registration and email qtml2026@nithecs.ac.za with your full name, passport number, and nationality.
