About Stellenbosch
Founded in 1679, Stellenbosch is the second-oldest European settlement in South Africa and home to one of Africa's leading universities. The town is renowned for its Cape Dutch architecture, oak-lined avenues, vibrant café culture, and world-class wine estates.
Situated just 50 km east of Cape Town in the Western Cape, Stellenbosch offers the perfect blend of academic excellence, natural beauty, and warm South African hospitality. The town is compact and walkable, making it easy to explore on foot.

December is late spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Expect warm, sunny days (22 - 28°C / 72 - 82°F) with possible brief afternoon showers. Evenings can be cooler. Pack layers and sunscreen.
